Your name is Ali and you are absolutely lost.Wandering around the twisting streets of Istanbul, the light is fading and you don’t know how you got there. The faded brown brick walls seem to close in around you, and every street you pass looks the same. The men walking next to you are somber, dressed in either old suits, or rags. As a 20-year-old man, you fit in pretty well with this crowd, but the still feel the quiet whisper of fear in the back of your mind. You speed up, your breath slightly misting in the cold April air. Here, the temperature fluctuates from hot in the day, to freezing cold at night. The echo of your pounding feet ricochets of the walls. The streets have emptied and everything is silent, except for your labored breathing.
Travel With Thomas

This is a picture of Travel With Thomas, Ye Olde Medieval Travel (Not that other stuff!), a time traveler's guide to the middle ages in Europe. Thomas the Tour Guide is the narrator in a guide to all aspects of life for the casual tourist taking a trip though Europe in the 14th century. This was designed to be a children's book, no need to be a time traveler.Our goal was to create a book for 5th-6th graders that would give a detailed and fun description of life in the Middle Ages. We were in groups of four to create this book, which led to an interesting collaboration.
